Third Sector Transformation Fund opens 30 August
The Third Sector Transformation Fund is for third sector organisations providing services to older people, in the Glasgow City Council area, to help them deliver projects which keep older citizens well in their communities for longer.
Specifically projects will:
Shift the balance of care from institutional settings to a community setting; increase self-help and the promotion of independence in the community; reduce social isolation by increasing preventive interventions; and build community capacity to enable people to be more connected.
The Fund will support activities running between October 2012 and September 2013. Application forms will be available when the Programme launches online on Thursday 30th August. Guidance on the Fund is available online.
The closing date for applications is Thursday 20th September, 12 noon. Further information is available from Diane Wilson, Programme Development Officer, on 01383 620780, diane.wilson@vaf.org.uk.
