Rethinking Food Policy: A Fresh Approach to Policy and Practice
The Centre for Food Policy at City, University of London has published the first two briefs in its new series on Rethinking Food Policy: A Fresh Approach to Policy and Practice.
The first brief “Tackling food systems challenges: the role of food policy” provides a new, simple definition of food policy, sets up the historical context of food policy, provides examples and then sets out the ten steps needed for food policy to do a better job.
The second brief “Understanding the food system: Why it matters for food policy” sets out the different elements of the food system and presents a new, policy-oriented depiction of the food system.
